a new idea or a "seed", waiting to see the light.

Spider cat

I had a dream with a traumatized cat.
Initially this creature was poorly, but with time he became a powerfull ghostly cat, who could spin spider webs around the dark city.

The encounter

These two characters emerged as I was drawing scribbles on the paper.

Material: brawn pastels and watercolor background
on recycled paper.

Young warrior

Metal Sculpture.

This is an abstract expression of a human head in profile.

The welded metal gives it strength and the variety
of shapes in the metal pieces gives it a feeling of movement and chaos.

Somehow I wanted to make it look like chinese caligraphy in three dimensional form.

For me, this piece came to represent an ancient chinese warrior.

The infinite

Wood carving.

This shape represents the Infinite.

Material: Cedarwood.

In another planet

There is a fuchsia pond with many lilies floating in it. One of the lilies in the middle has a little baby inside her petals.

This represent the start of creation, in another world where babies are born from flowers and where flowers become shining stars.

Material: pastels.

The orphans

I painted this picture having been inspired by a poem from the painter Edvard Munch.
After painting the picture I realized that these two characters where showing me something from my own life. I was faraway from home and felt lonely in a foreign country. Initially they represented me and my boyfriend at the time, but when I finished the picture it seemed to me they were like two lost children in the cold night.

Steppenwolf

I dreamt about this wolf before I painted the picture.
In the dream he was quite gentle and laid his paw in my lap. He hurt me a bit with his claws without noticing, but I didn't care because I really liked him.
After painting this picture I felt the wolf represented a dark side of myself that I was facing, or an aspect of the male world I was reconciling with.

Ancient girl

The elephant in this picture is feeding the girl in his back.
Star dust and big stars seem to be her favorite food.
She has white long hair,like a grandmother, who has lived many years, but her body is like a little girl's.

One interpretation is that this girl represents the wisdom within human beings that need "celestial" nourishment. The elephant could also represent a compassionate, gentle and caring animal, who is always helping human beings.

Luminous autumn

This picture is very joyful for me.
Autumn is one of my favorite seasons
and I feel very energized and clear
minded at this time of the year.

The owl women

I started painting this picture without a plan. Then I felt as if the owl women was emerging from underneath.

Angel inside a tower

This picture was inspired by a poem I wrote about an angel.
It seems to me that the angel represents perfection, but at the same time distance and indifference, as if he doesn't really want to get involved with the mundane world.

I painted this picture in a period in my life when I felt I had stagnated, waiting and not been able to see my way through.

I painted this picture very fast, allowing the impulse and expression to emerge.

The sea

I meditated before painting this picture; then I allowed myself to flow with the brush strokes and feel how the water was leading me.

I drew this picture with scribbles, allowing the image to "talk" by itself.
By doing this process I discovered how I was feeling in that moment.
